انطلاقا من مبادئ واهداف مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية ورغبة في تحقيق المزيد من التعاون والتنسيق المشترك بين الدول الأعضاء في مجال استثمار الروابط المشتركة وتحقيق المنافع الاقتصادية فقد قرر المجلس انشاء"هيئة الربط الكهربائي لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية" ، وهي شركة مساهمة مسجلة من قبل الدول الأعضاء لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية بموجب المرسوم الملكي رقم م/21 في 29 يوليو 2001.
ومنذ تأسيس هيئة الربط الكهربائي لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية وهي تتخذ دورا رئيسيا في مجال دعم البنى التحتية للدول الأعضاء، حيث يعد من أنجح مشاريع التعاون الخليجي وأهم المشروعات الاستراتيجية التي أقرها مجلس التعاون الخليجي، علماً بان المشروع حافظ منذ تدشينه على استمرارية أمن الطاقة لشبكات كهرباء دول مجلس التعاون، وذلك برفع مستوى الموثوقية والأمان للأنظمة الكهربائية الخليجية، وخفض القدرة المركبة، وتخفيض التكاليف التشغيلية، وتخفيض الاحتياطي التشغيلي، وتجنب القطع المبرمج نتيجة للدعم في حالات الطوارئ، وتجارة الطاقة على أسس اقتصادية، وخفض الانبعاثات الكربونية.

Job overview The Senior Specialist – Information & Cyber Security will play a key role in protecting GCCIA information and technology assets against cyber threats. This position involves Implementing, monitoring, analyzing, and managing cybersecurity controls to ensure assets availability, integrity, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, networking, systems and industrial systems, with hands-on experience in threat detection, incident response, information protection and risk management. Key responsibilities Policy and Compliance: - Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to information, IT and OT systems. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Risk Management: - Assess and manage risks associated with GCCIA systems. Provide recommendations for enhancing security posture and reducing vulnerabilities. Change Management: - Review changes and new system designs from a cybersecurity perspective and providing recommendations on the most secure way of delivery. Training and Awareness: - Conduct training sessions and workshops in collaboration with HR – Training section to raise awareness about cybersecurity threats and best practices among GCCIA personnel. Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain detailed records of information and cybersecurity incidents, assessments, and changes. Job overview: We are seeking a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in Substation Automation Systems (DCS/SAS/SCMS/SCS/PMS) for commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
