Senior Technician - Telecom Systems

Job Overview:

We are looking for a mid-level Telecom Technician to maintain and troubleshoot various telecommunications systems, including SDH, PDH, PLCC, PABX, IP Networks, Fiber Optics, CCTV, Access Control Systems, FOFSS, and WiFi. The role requires both fieldwork and remote monitoring, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with industry standards. The technician will also interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams while maintaining proper documentation and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the Communication equipment and perform the quality check on contractor work.
• Prepare and submit technical reports and system health checks.
• Document network and fiber layouts, cable routing, and configuration settings.
• Reviewing documents during various project phases, including tender, design, hardware & material selection, erection, testing, and commissioning.
• Perform Site visits to supervise maintenance work performed by contractors.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Fiber Optic Certification are a plus.

Requirements:

• Must have a basic understanding of SDH, PDH, PLCC, PABX, OTN, IP Networks, Fiber Optics and Wi-Fi Systems.
• Experience in handling CCTV, Access Control Systems, and FOFSS.
• Proficient in fiber splicing, structured cabling, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with OTDR, Ethernet testers, and network monitoring systems.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle on-call duties as required.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
