Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Governmental Relations Supervisor to manage all government-related transactions and compliance activities for GCCIA in all GCC countries. This role will be responsible for coordinating with various governmental bodies, securing necessary permits, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for all business operations, including imports, exports, licensing, visa processing, and other government documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process all types of government permits, approvals, and documentation required for GCCIA’s operations, including import/export, customs clearance, licensing, and employee visas and other governmental transactions.
  • Liaise with relevant government agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and policies for all business activities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather required information for government transactions and approvals.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all government documentation, licenses, and permits, ensuring accessibility for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Track and follow up on the status of applications and transactions, providing updates to relevant departments.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to government approvals promptly and efficiently.
  • Stay informed of changes in government regulations and policies to ensure GCCIA's compliance and readiness.
  • Support in preparing reports on government-related activities and compliance matters as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in handling government transactions or a similar role.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.

Skills

  •  Strong knowledge of government regulations, processes, and requirements related to business operations, including customs, licensing, and visa processing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with government agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate and resolve issues with government entities efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with government online portals and systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in government regulations.
